Welcome to the 4th Annual Plymouth High Hook Striper Tournament. For those of you who have fished with (and against) us in the past, you know the High Hook is a fantastic day on the water during one of the hottest striper weekends of the year. For those of you who are new, welcome aboard.
Our tournament began as a small competition among a few dads who got the “hall pass” the day before Father’s Day to get out on the water. What started as a small group of friends competing for the title of local High Hook has taken off and aims to become the centerpiece of striper fishing in Plymouth and throughout Cape Cod Bay.
Cash prizes and a ton of cool gear from our sponsors will be awarded for the three heaviest stripers. Following fishing, we’ll have a fantastic BBQ and awards ceremony at the VFW in Plymouth.

Registration
Cost to register is $300 per boat. To register, fill out the form and pay for your registration here. Then, complete the waiver sent to your email.
Any boats wishing to remove themselves from contention must confirm their cancellation no later than (24) hours prior to the start of the tournament.
Tournament Rules and Details
The tournament will run on Saturday, June 15th from 4:00am – 3:00pm. You are free to leave from any harbor so long as you stay within the boundaries outlined here:
- No fishing further north than the northern entrance to Scituate Harbor
- No fishing west of the EAST entrance to The Cape Cod Canal
- No fishing south of the northern entrance to Chatham harbor
- All State and Federal regulations regarding fishing boundaries must be followed
All teams submitting fish must arrive to the weigh-in location by 3pm.
The tournament winner is the angler to submit the single heaviest striped bass. There will be awards for 2nd place and 3rd place.
After-party and Weigh-in
Following the tournament, come hang out at the weigh-in and after-party. Friends and family are invited. BBQ will be provided and there will be a cash bar. The after-party will be at the Plymouth VFW, 22 Seven Hills Rd, Plymouth, MA, from 2:00pm to 7:00PM. Official weigh-in will be from 2:00pm – 4:00PM.
Prizes
First prize will be $1000 to the heaviest fish. Other prizes from our great sponsors will be awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place teams.
Charity Donation
As always, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Beauhawks Foundation, a charity near and dear to many of the participants as our friends fight for their boys lives against a truly terrible disease. To learn more about the foundation, visit www.beauhawks.org.
Striped Bass Conservation
In the spirit of conservation, we recommend you only retain and submit fish with a legitimate shot at winning. Remember, the Plymouth High Hook will only award prizes to the three single heaviest bass. This is the spirit of a “high hook” tournament. We want to make sure that fish are released safely to be caught bigger next year.
Striper fillets will not go to waste. All leftover fish will be donated to a local homeless shelter.
